The first thing I tell all my families is that becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah does not have to be a stressful experience. The entire process, from the first lesson to the ceremony, will be centered around your child and their strengths. The experience needs to match the child, not the other way around!
I will work with your child at their own pace to prepare for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from those with no prior Hebrew or Judaic background to those who read and speak Hebrew fluently. I can teach your child to read Hebrew so that they are able to read comfortably from a Sefer Torah (torah scroll), or provide transliteration if necessary. Each student is also provided with personalized materials, including a recording, for independent practice.
Students enjoy working with me as I meet them where they are. My expectations are for individuals and one student’s progress and capability is never compared to that of another. I encourage my students to do their best, to push themselves and to feel successful throughout the process. I aim for the entire experience to be positive, memorable and supportive.
